Itinerary

1. The Virgin River Gorge, located between St. George, Utah, and Beaver Dam, Arizona, is a long canyon carved out by the Virgin River in northwest Arizona.[1] The Virgin River rises on the Colorado Plateau and created the topography of both Zion National Park and the Virgin River Gorge. The Gorge connects the southwestern rim of the Colorado Plateau and the northeastern part of the Mojave Desert.

2. After enjoying the spectacular scenery of the Virgin River Gorge, continue to the Zion Canyon Visitor Center, located in the heart of Zion National Park. Surrounded by towering sandstone cliffs and dramatic canyon landscapes, this stop offers a closer look at the natural beauty that makes Zion one of the most visited national parks in the United States. Take in the breathtaking views, capture memorable photos, and learn about the park's fascinating geology, wildlife, and history before exploring more of Zion's iconic scenery.

3. Discover the natural grandeur of Zion National Park as you take in soaring plateaus and a maze of narrow, deep sandstone canyons carved over millions of years. Marvel at dramatic rock formations, towering cliffs, and stunning desert landscapes that define this iconic destination. In the broader Zion region, including the Kolob Canyons area, you’ll also find remarkable natural wonders such as Kolob Arch—one of the world’s largest natural arches.

4. Bryce Canyon showcases the stunning geology of southern Utah, a red-rock wonderland created by wind, water, and snow.Among the nation’s most beloved (and photographed) parks, the park is less than 40 miles as the crow flies from another natural gem: Zion National Park.It’s a natural amphitheater carved into the eastern flank of the Paunsaugunt Plateau by millions of years of wind and water erosion.By far the park’s most popular activity is walking all, or part, of the 11-mile Rim Trail between Fairyland Point and Bryce Point. Offering panoramic views of the kaleidoscopic topography, the trail can be accessed from several places along the rim, including Sunrise Point and Sunset Point.

5. Get to know this 1.3-mile loop trail near Bryce, Utah. Generally considered an easy route, it takes an average of 29 min to complete. This is a very popular area for hiking and walking, so you'll likely encounter other people while exploring

6. As the day comes to an end, we will journey back to Salt Lake City, taking with us incredible photos and cherished memories of Bryce Canyon and Zion National Park, bringing this unforgettable tour to a close.
